What lies beyond
What I cannot see
Is it something I want
That will benefit me
Is it within reach
Or would I stray
Do I venture there
Or just stay away
There may be riches
Beyond compare
Dazzling treasures
Brighten and rare
Will I find wisdom
To enrich my mind
Answers to questions
I look to find
Will I work and strive
To make a life
Tired and weary
Facing trials and strife
Can knowledge be found
And courage too
Mysteries solved
And hearts be true

In 1944 Ketti Frings wrote a book titled, ‘God’s Front Porch’, she must have lived near you.
What a delightful poem to make us ´´think´´.

Hi Mike, I googled Ketti Frings as I am not familiar with the author, what a fabulous title - it describes so much beauty in so few words. I noticed she also wrote a book titled, 'Hold back the dawn' I'm sure you're right she must have lived locally at some time in her life!
